HADJOD

 

Hadjod is a member of the Vitaceae family and is native to India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Africa's hot and dry areas. The Hadjod tree reaches a height of 1.5 metres, with branches that divide into four pieces or form a quadrangular pattern. The leaves are brilliant green and have three lobes with sharp edges. When mature, this shrub produces white or jade blooms and red berries. Hadjod is edible in all parts, with the stem & leaves being used for culinary and medicinal uses.
