BAKUCHI- BABCHI Plant/Seeds

Bakuchi, also known as Babchi, is a potent skin healing plant whose etymology is linked with the Moon, which is the ideal of beauty. It is known by several names in Ayurvedic texts, including Somvalli, Chandrika, Suprabha, Tvagdoshghani, and Chandrashalaka, to mention a few. Furthermore, the nutritious and curative characteristics of this plant place it in the "Shaka Varga" category, which includes green vegetables, according to Acharya Charak and Acharya Vaghabhatta. All components of the Babchi herb are beneficial, including the roots, stem, leaves, and seeds, but the powdered seed and oil are the most potent and are regarded as a highly efficient herb for the skin.

According to both ancient scriptures and current research, babchi seeds have tremendous therapeutic significance. It brightens the complexion by dramatically lowering pigmentation & plumps your skin by stimulating collagen-producing cells. Babchi powder is used as a Lepa or mask, in which those seeds are ground and blended with a suitable mixer to form a paste, which is then applied to afflicted regions.

The following are the skin advantages of babchi seeds:

  • Benefits of Babchi to Minimize Pigmentation and Increase Collagen

  • Helpful for skin and scalp disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, irritating red papules, insect bites/stings, and so on.
