This plant is known as fake pepper seeds & white
flowered embelia in Ayurveda. This versatile plant is used to treat a range of
ailments, although it is most commonly used to treat worm infestations.
According to Achraya sushrut, its fruit is anti-helminthic and a tonic to
strengthen. It, together with mulethi roots, supplies energy to the body.
Vidanga is utilised to remove excessive vata dosha from the gut. It is utilised
to activate rasdhatva agni, which accelerates body metabolism and aids in the
removal of excess fat from the body. Vidanga is an Ayurvedic plant that is used
